Mission to reduce emission
Our carbon footprint scope to reduce emissions consists of two separate targets: direct emissions and purchase energy. In 2018–2022 the combined emissions have been reduced by approximately 31 %.
ACTIONS IN THAT PERIOD ARE:
2019
Efficient heat recovery device to new production area.
Added charging points for electric/hybrid cars.
2021
Hakuni’s plant direct electric heating changed to air-to-air heat pumps.
2022
Changing energy source from mixed electricity to wind power.
Waste management system.
2023
Searching and testing for optional materials.
Setting near-term targets.
But we are not at the destination yet, our sustainability roadmap continues still towards reducing emissions and more actions to achieve that.
